The Betty June Dress is a retro design styled after the shirt-waist dresses of the 1940’s and 50’s with a fresh modern twist. Its features include short straight sleeves, a slightly elevated waist bodice, gathered A-line knee-length skirt, front button detail and side zipper closure. Variations are offered with different tie or buckle belts and sleeve edge/hem details as well as an option to piece the skirt together with fabric strips.
The pattern includes illustrated instructions for all variations and tissue pieces for sizes XXS - XXL.
Fabric:
The dress will suit a more structured cotton (or similar) fabric.
Yardage:
Approximately 3 meters of 45"/115cm wide fabric. Plus approximately 40cm for the belt, if making.
Notions:
- 18" / 45cm invisible zipper
- 4 x 28mm buttons
- 1" wide belting (for belt)
- 1 x 1 1/4" metal buckle (for belt)
- 3 x 3/16" eyelets (for belt)
